Yesterday was a long day with lots of walking and today I have ACE bandages wrapping my knees, a headache because I forgot my hat yesterday and the sun beat down on me for many hours, a sore back and very sore hips and feet so I have been eating Ibuprofen and rubbing in Icy-Hot.?ÿ
They put dogs down for less.
I can relate.?ÿ
I use to go by the old saying, "That which does not kill you makes you stronger".?ÿ Nowadays it's more like, "That which does not kill you makes you wish it had".?ÿ

If you think getting older sucks, consider the alternative...????
A long peaceful rest.
Are the deeds of a man in his prime.
You shuffle in gloom of the sickroom
And talk to yourself as you die.
And death is a long cold rest.
You get your chance to try in the twinkling of an eye:
Eighty years, with luck, or even less.
And maybe you'll make it to the top.
And mind how you go, and I can tell you, 'cause I know
You may find it hard to get off.
And I am the dead man's son.
And he was buried like a mole in a fox hole.
And everyone is still in the run.
And who says the hunt has begun?
And who calls the tune in the courtroom?
And who beats the funeral drum?
Are the deeds of a man in his prime.
You shuffle in gloom in the sickroom
And talk to yourself till you die.
A conversation among old people usually turns into an "organ recital", as everyone lists their complaints.
Mine are between my legs.?ÿ
Don't get me started.
Pain is something I've lived with since my teens due to football, car wrecks and beating things with big hammers.
I miss opiates in my medicine, never abused them, they simply worked quicker and longer.

Mine are between my legs.?ÿ
Mine use to be....now they're between my knees.
Sometimes I wish they would just go away.

A Harris
Because of my boogered up hips from the Navy I have a standing prescription from the VA for 5mg hydrocodone and that is just enough to take the edge off after a hard day but it really doesn't do much else. I have been told that is the weakest of the opiate family but the constant drug testing is damned ridiculous. It helps but I wish there was a marijuana dispensary here so I could get some edibles. A client gave me some high thc edibles last year and wooooo doggie the first couple times I tried it I got the dose bad wrong and I was stoned for the first time ever but let me tell you this it took all the pain away. I did not care for the high feeling but doggone it took the pain away and it lasts for about 10 hours. A little bite about the size of a peanut M&M with some food and about 2 hours later I am ready for a nap and I feel no pain at all and when I wake from the nap I want to eat and I am not picky but I prefer rotisserie chicken salad. ???? So if you can get you some edibles by golly do it.

I'm considering acting my age, but haven't succeeded yet.
Growing old ain't for sissies!
How ya feeling?
I dunno, I'm not sure how I should be feeling...I've never been this old before!
I'm considering acting my age, but haven't succeeded yet.
Growing old ain't for sissies!
Me either.?ÿ?ÿ In spite of the Gray Beard and Hair(what I have left) I keep getting guessed at 10-15 years younger than I actually am.
Might have something to do with the way I walk.?ÿ I don't just walk, I stride.
I do that in spite of the banged up hips and knees.?ÿ?ÿ I am now a walking, talking example of joint damage that happened as a teenager and is now evident 50 years later.

I'm in the "Never pass a bathroom, never trust a fart, and never waste an erection" crowd now.
Today, I am the victim of a sleeping injury.?ÿ That shouldn't be possible, but, my back is killing me.?ÿ In addition to stretching before exercise, I now have to stretch to keep sleeping injuries away.?ÿ I think that it is actually a warning that I have spent too much time at the computer though
I'm sure everyone's heard this before, but anyway:
An old man goes to the doc complaining about pain and deafness in one ear. Doc has a look and a rummage around and carefully extracts a small foil capsule from the old man's ear. Doc opens it and exclaims "Good grief, that's a suppository." Old man is silent for a few secs, then says "Now I know where my hearing aid is".
CBD oil is legal in all states, and 97% of the THC is removed. in most of them.?ÿ ?ÿYou might try that?
Nope, make that legal in 49. The great state of NOhio's board of Pharmacy has declared CBD (even synthetic) to be a Schedule One drug. It must be dispensed through a medical marijuana dispensary. They are currently working on law at the state level to correct that but at the speed of a glacier like all laws they pass unless it benefits a law maker. There are still many outlets to buy the synthetic oil though. Nobody is messing with them unless they have another reason to bust them.
