Loyal, my son HATES that song.?ÿ When he was a baby, and as he grew up, I would sing that as I rocked him to sleep (34 years ago).?ÿ Now he cringes when he hears it, he said it makes him cry.?ÿ Thanks for the memories.
Andy
I'm not a big country nor western music fan but I did grow up with a dad who loved C.W. McCall (and so do I), and grew up partially in the '70s when there was a fair bit of cross-over. Anyway, every once in a while, I fall in love with a particular song in that genre or at least kinda in that genre compared to what I normally like... here's the latest (which has crossed over onto the pop charts thus how I heard it), Bebe Rexha featuring Florida Georgia Line:
How about country at the symphony? Pull up Galveston from the same Sioux Falls concert to see ol' Glen at his best in his old age.

Got to rock on....like a Muscovite sometimes

O' Sweet Child of Mine:
Country Western?
Did somebody say something bout Country Western?

I have always liked that song, reminds me of?ÿwhen I was in High School (1966 The Byrds).
Really good cover of it, thanks!
Something tells me the Guns and Roses guys never imagined this song with a mandolin and dobro; I like it!

Guns and Roses?
From time to time some "kid" will play a Guns & Roses "cover" on the jukebox, and I'm afraid I don't care much for them (of course I'm OLD and cranky).
Oh yeah...get of my lawn!
