Your Christmas Tree is volatile. Please be careful.

Kewl, Thanks Pete. We just showed this video to our Christmas tree, I think we're okay now.

Another good reason to convert and erect a Festivus Pole each year.

This one was old and dry (burnt on January 9, 2017). I don't know why but the previous year went up much faster...

my neighbor's flocked tree (fire retardant flocking they say) also went up real quick.

these things are like bombs... I can't imagine one in a normal living room.

I keep my giant fake 3' Christmas tree fully decorated in a big garbage bag takes 5 min to set up and 5 min to take down. Lazy? Absolutely.?ÿ ??ÿ

REAL Christmas trees are cedars (junipers, I'm told) that you cut down yourself from some location where one shouldn't be in the first place. ?ÿThe rest of the time they are treated like weeds that need eliminated.

Perfect! Ordered one for grandson Jesse. He won't be 2 for a couple months but he is smart.

@Natester and Peter Ehlert

Umm y'all let me know how this turns out. SWMBO and my Daughter threatened me with mortality for showing my Grandson how to incinerate fire ants, and start a fire with a magnifying glass.?ÿ

Reminds me of the children's arc welding set 😛

Actually, I think older toys were MUCH more educational. For example, I had a Creepy Crawlers molding set with Plastigoop and all. I learned to let the blasted molds COOL DOWN prior to extraction of the goods... got some nasty burns from that thing but it DID teach me.

I found a fake tree in a shed, on a farm, we were turning into a plat circa 1979; been using it ever since...

A tradition of my youth was?ÿfor us to?ÿsurreptitiously gather all of the discarded Xmas trees off curbs for blocks around and pile them up for a bonfire that could be seen from space. We only had a limited amount of time to enjoy the spectacle before the first fire trucks would roll up. The volatility of a dried out resin saturated conifer is second to none.

You've gotta love the old foil tinsel.?ÿ Individual strands that we reused for years as a kid.

I actually miss that look....
