I plan to order a Tesla Model Y Performance in a week or so. Second car will still be a full size gasser SUV, but the Tesla will be our daily driver. Tired of spending 60 dollars a week on gas for just one of our SUVs.
According to the internet, the average price of a barista coffee in USA is $2.70, so let's say $3. And so $60 per week?ÿ = 20 chappachinos per week.

I'm waiting for something to use for work, small and proper 4wd. Suzuki Vitara sized
There is a new gasoline station being built a few blocks from me that has some unusual structures in addition to the pumps. I'm interested to see if those will be charging stations. If so, it will be the first i have noticed.
I'm anticipating putting a dewalt screw gun on a skate board...
SWMBO traded current ride for EV. The only real drawback is where some of the charging stations are located. Road trips are fine on Interstates but back country road trips (my idea of ??backroad? is a surfaced 2 lane road) can be tricky with chargers being in weird places where most normal people would be hesitant to stop. There are even people who have a ?? public charging spot? at their private residence. Some of the charging stations are in a such a remote spot at Wal-Mart you wouldn??t go there even during the day for fear of being robbed and carjacked. However, Tesla has hundreds of places to charge which can charge all non-Tesla EV??s with an adapter, so for about $200 you can feel good about not running out of juice anywhere in the lower48.?ÿ?????ÿ

Stash a REALLY LONG extension cord in the back seat.
In the process of moving I'm selling my Ranger and we are shipping the Escape. SWMBO will most likely be getting a golf cart. I may check out the Ford Maverick when it comes out, once we buy a house I may want a pickup available, but don't see the need for a full sized F150 or above (new Ranger is also a possibility). The Maverick is a hybrid and gets something like 40 mpg, I like the backup gas vs full electric. The only drawback that I see so far with the Maverick is that it is only available with a 4' bed, but again I see very little need for 6 - 8' bed and if I do need bigger lumber for something I can have it delivered or borrow or rent a bigger truck for a few hours. Price tag is around 20K vs 30+K for the Ranger, Silverado or Tacoma. She also pill probably have a fit if I trade in her baby that she most likely won't be driving anymore too.
I plan on enjoying driving my V8 truck for cheap once the masses switch to this fantasy fuel.?ÿ ??? ?????ÿ
We recently completed a boundary survey for an electric car company. They aren't listed in the article.?ÿ

This.
@richard-germiller I saw a Maverick on the road the other day on my way home from work. I personally thought it was very ugly. Extremely small and overall looked wimpy. But as you have described, there probably is a market for them as not everyone needs or wants a truck so big it is actually hard to use.

For those of us who live where cruising the bright lights of the big city on a Saturday evening can be completed in under 10 minutes there is a very small market.?ÿ The vast majority of our driving is accumulated outside of the city limits of any city or town, none of which will have a recharging station in the foreseeable future.
I think the newer ones look more like the Ranger, haven't really looked at them in a while, just when I first heard they were coming out.
@nate-the-surveyor I'm anticipating seeing the video you're going to post of you riding it for the first time!
My Tesla Model Y Performance should be delivered in December, however, I plan to delay delivery until 2022 to take advantage of EV tax credits.?ÿ I am looking forward to it!?ÿ?ÿ

How is sunlight converted directly to current "fantasy fuel"? I've been running my car on it for three years.
