I am getting tired of Folgers.
What do you recommend?
Anything but coffee.?ÿ Had my last sip in late June 1976.?ÿ Never really liked it in the first place.
Be a rebel.?ÿ Try something else.
I get the Breakfast Blend, Fred Meyer store brand.?ÿ So the Kroger store brand, in other words.?ÿ Very good coffee, I get compliments on it from coffee-wise guests when I make it in my $15 Mr. Coffee coffee maker.?ÿ Just make it strong, that's all ?????ÿ
Black rifle- silencer smooth is about right- CAF is some stout morning stuff. Great organization and hilarious ads
My wife buys whole bean dark roast from Amazon. The Organic Coffee Co. French Roast. I mill it every morning in a hand crank mill. Brew it in a glass stove top siphon. Warning if you try this you'll never be able to go back to acidic autodrip swill.
????
I stick with dark roast. The caffeine content is on the low side and the flavor fits my tastes. I brew with a k cup brewer unless I'm camping remote and have guests. For those occasions it's fresh ground cafe verona dark in a propane drip brewer. Anything not served in 30 minutes gets dumped.
Folgers... ew.
Pretty much any Trader Joe's coffee is delicious.
Been drinking Folgers for decades and for as long as I can recall their Black Silk variety and don't anticipate changing.
I tried Starbucks a few times and found that to be unnecessarily stong and undrinkable crap.
McDonald's actually makes a decent cup of Joe as does Dunkin Donuts.?ÿ

If you order "coffee" at Starbucks you will find it to be unnecessarily strong and undrinkable crap. Try an "Americano" instead. But personally I usually get coffee at McDonalds. Much cheaper.?ÿ
Starbucks is the coffee store for people that don't like coffee. They overroast their beans I think to overcome all the milk, sugar, and syrup they put in their drinks. So buying just a coffee at Starbucks is well the stuff is awful.
McDonalds is not bad other than it's way too weak.
Dennys actually has good coffee believe it or not, decent, not the best coffee on earth but very drinkable.
Folgers? Awful undrinkable?ÿ
I don't put anything in my coffee so it helps to have a better cup.
Starbucks now offers large bags of their famous roasted coffee beans.
100% Kona from Hawaii. YUM!!!! My favorite coffee of all time!!! ??
The Kauai coffees are also very delicious. One of the best ones you can only buy on the island. *Slurp*
Speaking of coffee...Since most of us are on lockdown and have a little bit more time on our hands. There was a decent show a few years back about coffee and sourcing it. It stared Todd Carmichael, adventurer and the founder of La Colombe coffee, which makes great stuff. Show was called Dangerous Grounds.

We drink Eight O'Clock French Roast - whole bean.?ÿ I buy it from their website?ÿ 9 lbs at a time - usually for about $6 / lb. because I watch for email coupons.
Best bang for my coffee buck, I think.
@stlsurveyor ??Just Black? is a good blend also. ?ÿI??m using an aero press now so each cup is it??s own deal and I like it.
I died watching the ??how to make PLS? video they did last fall....?ÿ

I've been roasting my own beans for about 5 years. It's pretty easy once you get it dialed in. I buy green beans from Sweet Maria's. You can get any kind that you want, all organic, and they are considerably cheaper than store bought roasted beans. You can control how dark you roast them. I highly recommend it.
