Got a Springfield Armory FXs. It's the smallest .45ACP semi-automatic pistol currently made. Holds 5+1 rounds and the reviews said that it was surprisingly light on perceived recoil. (It is a tiny gun for a 45.)
Took it out to the range and put a box of 50 through it. The reviews were indeed correct. It is light on perceived recoil and recovery back on target is very quick. I've got a Smith & Wesson Scandium snub-nose .45ACP that kicks like a mule!
Sure am happy with the new toy.
My Kimber CDP II is a mule in my hands. The full size is MUCH better!
I love guns! 🙂
Don't do what our former employee did, claim that it wouldn't fire in a certain position and then fatally shoot himself.
I bought a Ruger LC9 (9mm with built in laser) a week or two ago. My H&K 40 was too big to conceal and really too big to carry comfortably. The LC9 is really small and thin. Holds 7+1. I don't like the long trigger pull of a semi with a hidden hammer though.
Picked up A KAHR CW9 a short time ago. - it has the double action only trigger, but it isn't intended to be my long range weapon.....
Stacy - Did you get the one with the pink frame?
LOL! No... My daughter in law recently bought a pink .38 revolver. Paid way too much just for the color. Black suits me fine.
I also have a lc9 and like the fact that the trigger is never cocked. You can keep one in the pipe just like a revolver.
I really like my Kahr CM9. A mite smaller than the CW. Kahr did some good work making the bore axis low to reduce felt recoil. I'm pleased with performance, feel and conceal-ability.
Don't you mean XDs?
I'm used to a Ruger P95 and H&K USP 40 that have exposed hammers. After that first shot, it's a hair trigger. I guess its not that I don't like the pull on the LC9, I'm just not used to it. I've been putting a lot of rounds through it trying to get used to it. It's also not ambidextrous like the P95.
Bought my first pistol on Sunday......
Cost me an-arm-and-a-leg (on Monday)
Yes. XDs.
