Have heard some good things about them but, moreover, I know there are some TopCon enthusiasts here.

Don't see many around here.
Chevy, Ford and Toyota are the big sellers.

Nissan built a plant near Jackson MS and were being made there. Don't know if that is still true.

I know someone who has the smaller Frontier that is loaded. Nice truck.

BIL in Ft. Collins,CO was a Shivvy man for years (finally sold his 1972 K-5 Blazer two years ago..). Has had a Titan for a few years now and has nothing but praise for them.

ps - he's a picky bastard...his "thumbs up" is a rarity.

Hard to bite on showroom new. But, the observation Mr. Hill made holds out here, too. So, not being GM, Ford or Toyota brings a buyer's advantage in the used market. Good to hear some first and second hand approvals, MPG aside. Thanks all.

I think he is referring to the total station in the ad at 13 seconds

Been thinking of looking as my V10 TDi VW Touareg is getting old. Like that Cummins engine a lot, only the fact that it doesn't handle or have the braking of the VW keeps me away

The only time I see Nissan trucks around here is when I drive by the dealership.

I see the inside of a Nissan Navara Ute ( somewhat smaller than that Titan) on a Monday to Friday basis

We've got a 2008 model with 338,000. You'd never know it had that many if you drove it.

I haven't heard much about the Titan one way or the other - but I don't think it sales very well.

We just ordered 3, 2017 RAM 1500 Tradesmans Hemi 4x4 with the extended cab. Very good price cheaper than the Titan

Here are some videos of the Titan

Interesting. I find it hard to believe that truck made it to 1000000 miles.
But it is only 10 years on the road.

I believe @Kent McMillan has a 2007 Tundra that he has serenaded about here.

I have a 2006 4WD Tundra that is still running strong. Those smaller, older Tundras are the perfect size for off road driving and the V8 keeps going and going.

Personally, I am hoping that the Cummins now available in the Nissan, spurs Toyota into finally bringing their diesel over

The diesel Titan is not selling well and if you do a Google search you will see a lot of complaints.

IMO, the Tundra would be a far better choice if you are okay with running a non-domestic work truck. I agree, I wish Toyota would bring the diesel truck to USA.

Where I resist the Tundra: It's about a 5k upcharge over anything domestic for similar miles, years and features. True, the engine will run forever. But, do all those little bells and pinwheels start going to crap at 10 years just like on any domestic truck? My gut says, yes. So, if I'm buying something that's already 5 years old and wanting only another 5 years out of it, I'll buy domestic and save the 5k. The Nissan was a thought because, if it stands time similar to the Tundra for the same $'s as a 15-hunnert, I might be tempted. Not needing a diesel. Just a good truck.

Tundras are built in San Antonio, and contain about 75% American-made parts. In 2015, Edmunds rated it tied with the F-150 and the Silverado for first place as Most American Truck. It's hardly what I'd call "non-domestic."

I can only speak about my own 2008 Tundra, which I bought in late 2007, so it's not quite 10 years old. The only thing I've had to replace on it is the belt molding on the passenger side window. That's the side that gets the most sun exposure when it's parked in my driveway, and the rubber had deteriorated to the point that running the window down and back up again no longer cleared the morning dew. It took me $15 and 15 minutes (and no tools!) to replace it. (I'm not counting the time I had to replace some windshield washer hose after a squirrel decided to nest on top of the intake manifold and snack on some nearby tubing.) Other than that, it's been a solid performer and pretty much trouble-free.

Last Spring I was comparing the diesel Titan to the F-150. $60k vs. $40k. I purchased an F-150. My son has a Titan that is maybe 5 yrs old. He has no complaints other than the gas mileage. My 2016 4wd F-150 has the 3.5L twin turbo EcoBoost with 365 HP and a consistent average 17.2 mpg. Lots of pedal
left at 110 MPH.
