Hi, guys...

As some of you may have noticed, I have not been around much. Some of you know why. My mother has been very sick and is in the hospital. She was in last weekend, but got out too early. She deteriorated and by Thursday wound back up in the hospital. In a matter of a few hours, I had flights booked, motel reserved, rental car booked, and Wendell and I were on a plane Friday. This has been a very long, emotional, and heartbreaking few days. I am sure any of you that has/have had a parent with a life threatening illness can totally understand. Mom is only 60... 🙁

Anyhow...we're now here in California and doing all we possibly can for her. Wendell has been a SAINT. I would have lost my marbles more than I already have if he had not come with me. Last night mom almost died. (The nurse gave me a long lecture.) Today mom cracked her rib and was having breathing difficulties and Wendell, the man who hurt his back carrying my luggage up the stairs to our room, WALKED to the hospital to be with mom and I. Fortunately the hospital was only 1.3 miles away.

I usually moderate this site 15-16 hours a day. But with everything going on, I temporarily will not be able to do this and for that I apologize. My days are spent at the hospital and there is no WiFi there. So if something gets out of hand, please understand it may take us more time than usual to handle it. I can't crack out my whip right away. 😉

I would also like to let all of our recent donors know that I have NOT forgot about you guys!!! I was in the process of ordering some more decals & "surprises" to send out with your thank you packages and then all of this happened and I haven't been able to finish. So, please accept my apologizes...It may be a while now before I can get something out to you guys, but do not worry, I have a list of EVERYONE who donated and as soon as things get back to normal, I WILL get these out to you. That also goes for the guys that passed their tests...I'll get yours out when I can as well.

And I want to tell you guys all once again how much I appreciate EVERYTHING you have done for us. EVERYTHING!!!! Thank you for your donations, your many thoughts and kind posts on FB regarding my mom, your kindness, your prayers, and your concerns for us. Trust me it does not go un-noticed. That's why I'm writing this now. It has been on my mind for days; I told Wendell I NEED to tell them something...I can't just leave them hanging. He said "Angel, they know." But for me it is not the same until you hear it from me. So now you have.

And on that note, I will say good night. My ass is BEAT!!! Love to all of you guys...

Angel,

We'll hold the fort down; you tend to what needs to be tended to.

I hope your mother recovers soon.

Angel:

The last thing you have to worry about is BeerLeg.com; focus on your Mom.

You are in my prayers.

Take care, Angel.
Best to your Mom. You've got to be with family when they're sick.

This will be a chance for the kids to show they can avoid burning the house down while the adults are away.

My best wishes for your mother's speedy recovery.

Bless you and your family in this time of turmoil. Focus on what is actually important and ignore the little things. BTW, we, here, are the little things. Save your energy and strength for the personal neccesities.

Angel, you, Wendell and your Mom are in my prayers. Concentrate on Mom and forget the site. It is just not worth any thought right now.
I am 64 and know what you are going through right now. It is not an easy path, but one we all must walk sooner or later. Take it one day at a time. You'd be surprised how resiliant us old folks can be.
