Today is A & W's 24th Wedding Anniversary!!
We got married on Nov. 10, 1993. We were so poor, we had to go to the judges house and get married in her living room! We had $10 left after buying our marriage license and paying the judge, so, that night after we got hitched, my in-laws took us out for a fancy dinner. I remember I felt guilty that night for ordering $5 sauteed mushrooms. Now, 24 years later, I don't feel bad anymore ordering $10 sauteed mushrooms. :p

I was wondering the same thing... 1993 seems like it was yesterday!! :scream:
Back in 1993, we were young, dirt poor kids!! We lived in a shack, that had not only drive by shootings, but walk-up shootings!
We decided we didn't want to raise our daughter in that kind of area/state, so we packed up and moved to Oregon two weeks after she was born. We didn't have the money to get married, but we knew we wanted to. I got lucky when I ran into that judge that married us! That judge was so nice to us! When I went to buy the marriage license, they asked me where I was getting married at? I told them I was too poor to afford a wedding, and I was going to go ask a preacher or someone around town. She said to come to her house to get married, for free. So we did!:innocent:
Congratulations! My wife and I will celebrate 25 years on January 1, 1993. We were pronounced Husband and Wife at 22 minutes after midnight. We were the first couple married in our county that year.

Happy Anniversary!
Silly kids. Could have had a 46th anniversary this year if things had gone MUCH DIFFERENTLY. Had a 19th instead.
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing!
I don't know what I would have done without her. She supports me in all my crazy choices and I don't know that anyone else would've had the patience. I love her more now than I could have ever imagined. Life is good and I wouldn't choose to go through it with anyone else.
Congratulations Angel and Wendell!!! May you have many more anniversaries!!!

Goes both ways, pea.:bowling: I feel bad for you...you've had to watch me endure some very hard physical and emotional tragedy's throughout my life. I always worried about you and your well being when those things were happening to me; I didn't want you to feel the pain I was feeling. My job is to protect my spouse, and I feel like I failed sometimes. Here's to the next 24 years being FUN and filled with Love!!!!
Oh and PLEASE take me on a NICE vacation for our 25th! If we start planning and saving now, we'll have it all ready to go by next November. :innocent:
Here's one of us a month or so after we got married. Dec. 31, 1993. We look like kids!! :scream:
PS: THANK all you guys for the warm wishes... We do appreciate it.:heart::heart:
That's Miranda as a baby!

Yes...She was the cutest baby ever!!! 😀
Here's one that brings tears to my eyes...My mom holding Miranda. Thanksgiving 1993.:heart:
My mom was 42. Miranda was 6 weeks old.
I would drive 1000 miles each way, from Oregon to So Cal and back, every other month, so my mom could be a part of Miranda growing as a baby to infant to toddler. My poor car...I am so lucky it hung in there for me because that drive SUCKED. :yum:
Hijack for Angel
Thought for a second you were on the local TV news last evening. Looked at the name a second time because the hair was the wrong color. Turned out it was a lady named Angela Harness.
