Iowa and Nebraska had some arguments in maybe the 1980's over land where the Missouri River changed course. The dispute goes back further than that.

Colorado vs. Oklahoma and New Mexico
As mentioned above, the south line of Colorado was disputed. Also the true northwest corner of Oklahoma was moved again based on poor locating of the true longitude.
The bootheel section of Missouri is another entertaining story.
The description of Nevada overlaps into California but California is senior 🙂
THANK YOU
to all who have posted so far. And I look forward to additional responses.
And if you can't sleep...
Oklahoma and Texas have been scrapping for years:
et cetera...ad nausium
I think the States are still scrapping, these are just three cases.
I don't have any links but the 100th between Okie and Texas went to the Supreme court.
Texas and New Mexico had a boundary issue along the Rio Grande that was ended by the supreme court in 1927. It was called the Country Club dispute. Monuments similar to the Texas-Oklahoma photo were set at all the angle points. Some are in back yards and in the middle of roads and parking lots today.

What About a Gap, Dave?
[StirPot]
If there's a gap, do we have to identify it as a new State or federal territory that didn't previously exist? You know that there are at least a couple surveyors around who would vigorously argue that there is a previously unrecognized parcel there still owned by the original grantor.
Would the feds still own it or can a sovereign adverse possess against another sovereign without going to war?

would you please quit trying to determine intent!
