Is there a global command to mark all my bills paid? I do not use the QuickBooks write checks and all my bills are shown unpaid.

I can't find a way to do it.

Thanks

Forrest

I sent your question to my Sister, She uses it every day and teaches night classes on Quickbooks. It may help to know which version you are using.

If only I could find a command to mark my bills paid, then I could use my income for fun stuff. Offhand, though, the closest command that comes to mind is "Get to work!"

if you are not paying your bills through QB why even enter them? it wants to do debt/credits as they come in/go out so it can generate a ledger. if you are not "all in" then don't put any bills in. it will want to deduct them from some account to show them as paid.

If you are entering your bills into Quickbooks you can use the pay bills procedures just mark the checks as not to be printed. You may need to create a dummy checking account if you don't want to have Quickbooks making entries in an actual checking account. I did this when I first started using Quickbooks before we got checks we could run through a printer. You can also "write checks" without printing them and the payment will be added into the checking register. I do this for payments made with a debit card and ATM withdrawals.
