Has taking an ethics course, EVER, changed a non ethical person?
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their country. Typing class 9th grade!
There have been a few more twists and turns on this topic. Here is one such article, https://stthomassource.com/content/2026/02/13/callwood-retires-amid-cadastral-controversy-ag-rhea-weighs-in/
Larry Best is a bona fide hero in my opinion.
I haven't been on here for a long time and haven't gotten any notifications on the recent posts. I certainly appreciate the more recent comments. The article PROTRACTED links to has links to 2 previous articles. There were somewhat less informative articles in the VI Consortium and The Virgin Islands Daily News. And an independent journalist, Brian Lauden has posted some great stuff on Facebook, where I got a lot of positive support and a little negative. Unfortunately, the other surveyors in the VI are remarkably quiet. I'm pleased that there is a positive result, but it's really a slap on the wrist. He should never be surveying again, all his surveys should be marked as fraudulent and he should be prosecuted. But I don't think any of this will happen. The VI Bar and the Realtor's Assoc. say they are going to try to get the Cadastral office to stop making legal and surveying decisions. I support them and tried to get the other surveyors to join, with a little success, but I don't have much hope for that. I'm so grateful that Wendell has this forum where I can communicate with surveyors who truly care about the profession.
