I just found out from a second party phone call that my firm has a recorded plat on file in York County, NE, and I apparently signed it. This is a little unsettling since I am not licensed in Nebraska and haven't been through there since gas was 19 cents a gallon. Anybody out there know the ropes of getting a hold of a copy of documents there?

Did you try searching here? http://www.nebraskadeedsonline.us/search.aspx?county=17
Otherwise I am sure the County Surveyor could help, maybe contact them?
Website lists Rex Heiden Phone (402) 728-5427

I think you might share a name with a surveyor in Lincoln, NE.

Use briniker's link and search for your last name as grantor. If I have correctly figured out your real name, you will find two documents filed in the last couple years by the guy in Lincoln.

It didn't take me too long to figure out I got a "twinkie" in NE. What was confusing was the phone call from some pipeline outfit needing info on "my" plat had reported to me my firm's name and phone number was provided to them by the Register of Deeds in York County. I just got off the phone with the pipeline dude...he was mistaken. Apparently someone in his office got the "Google Thumbs" and gave him the first outfit that popped up under my name. He apologized.

Case closed. Now I can eat lunch in peace....;)

I thought it might turn out to be cousin Owen, from another branch of the Cash family, but Occam's razor carries the day again.

Perhaps you should change your name to Zbigniew Brezinski or Zechariah Kumquat.
