Who else gets to share work and home life 24/7/365?

Married 25 years today. 7/7/2023 will be in business for 23 of them.

He's a PLS and I do everything but the field work, in a pinch maybe once or twice a year I go in the field.

Could you work with your spouse?

I entertained the idea of working with my spouse but realized early on that it would never work. Good on you both for making it work!

Congrats on your anniversary! Here's to many more.

I used to work with my wife every so often when a job demanded a second person. Once she got hung upside down on a barbed wire fence a quarter mile away. I told her to figure it out herself and she finally did, but boy did that cost me. New pants, flowers, cocktails and a steak dinner at the expensive  restaurant. Would been cheaper to pay someone real money to help me out. Heard about it for at least a month following. So did all our friends.

Congratulations on your longevity. Either I chose poorly, or they did. Regardless, 3 failures that couldn't stay in the same house, much less work together.

@mightymoe If I'm going straight honesty I had no idea this is how life would work out - we met at work, a small surveying & engineering firm, and dated under the radar for 6 months before announcing our engagement. He left to go out on his own a few years later after not getting promoted from within. I stayed for another few years and then left after our second child turned 3.

We both had the skills to make it work and we can both have super flex schedules.The scariest part was he went out on his own just before our son turned one, it crazy to think we are where we are.

You are proof positive that there is an exception to every rule.  Good for you.

@svengayle

I think it's great, my wife was a long time teacher, taught from kindergarten to college. She retired when COVID hit but she still does a class at the college two nights a week.

Can't imagine us working full-time together, who would give the orders? LOL
