It's been lost now for some 10 days. It somehow got under something in the corner. I'm so lost without my leatherman. I would have used it to open a locked gate. I would have used it to replace a fuel line on a chain saw. I was feeling so lost. But, now I have found it. Rejoice with me!

Woo Hoo! I lost mine one time for quite a while. I thought it was in my shed, but I couldn't find it. During some bad storms one night, a tornado came through. When I went out in the daylight, my shed was in a tree in the neighbor's yard, but I found my leatherman right at my feet! All was well.

So, I ordered another off ebay a couple of days ago. It shipped today.

My wife, and daughter are now fighting over the new one, and it is not here yet!!!

I need to get some more of them!

I have two.

One of the original waves and one of the new waves. I was sold on the new one because of the better locking mechanism for the tools.

The first on is still in perfect working order. I went through a small stage of trying to kill it to give myself an excuse to buy a new one but I failed miserably. I gave up and went and bought a new one anyway. 🙂

Never had an actual brand name Leatherman, only three knockoffs and they are very handy, from the extra small one about 2in long closed to one 6in long closed.

The fishing multi tool is also up there in the same category.

I always carry a Leatherman

AND

a Victorinox Swiss Champ.

Get laughed at plenty but when those same idiots need something fixed right now, the feeling is priceless.

Use one or the other every single day.

Whew!

I feel for you. I lost one I had for years. Broken hearted. None could compare until I found the skeletool.

Mine new one was safe and sound the whole time.

The TSA nabbed mine a few years ago, an original Leatherman with the sharp handle edges that cut into your hand during use. Also an actual leather case.

Before I let TSA have it, I will GIFT it to somebody getting off their plane!

And, they cannot have the leather case anyway!

🙂

Some yrs ago, I had them try to nab a nice pocket knife off of me. I handed it to the folks that took me to the airport. The disappointment in their faces was un-mistakable!
