I in the middle of negotiating an IDIQ contract with a larger city. Their standard boiler plate contract specifies E&O in the amount of 1 million per occurrence and 3 million aggregate. We currently have an aggregate limit of 2 million with our new provider. Are old provider offered 1 million in aggregate. When we went searching for new providers the only thing we could find was the 2 million based on our size. I'm just curious what coverage others on the list carry.

Thank in advance

John

2 million. Sometime if a particular client asks for more we can buy a rider but we include that cost in the price of the job. Sometimes we just take a pass on the RFP.

I carry the 1 mil per occurrence, and 2 mil aggregate. But I also have an umbrella liability per occurrence that boosts the 2 mil aggregate over the 3 mil aggregate requirement. Most of the time when questioned about the 2 mil aggregate I will have the questioning party call my insurance provider directly so they can explain the umbrella coverage.
