I downloaded it and did a search for "surveyor" in the document. It was not to be found. "Survey" came up in reference to gathering data for wage determinations.

I thought I read that surveyors are subject to DB but a recent search turned up this in a Q&A Section.

A few years ago, the present administration wanted to add Surveyors to the Fed Prevailing wage. It was precipitated by the Operating Engineers Union.
NSPS was launching a protest though congress. NSPS claimed that surveyors worked at pre-construction so surveyors should not be included but tell that to a surveyor working large construction projects daily.

so that is the problem with red/blue state politics plus right to work states etc. There are no solutions.
No dialogue, cooperation or compromises that the our nation's body politic was built upon. IMO.
It flounders for congressional action which is usually non-action or worse and that is our abyss.

Beware that many jobs are subject to Davis Bacon AND OR State Prevailing Wages.
On most of my projects that have federal money involved, and are sponsored through the state DOT, it is required to pay the higher of the two wage rates.

In addition the DB Wages get locked in at the time of bid opening, but the state wages may or may not be locked in at the time of bid opening depending on the labor union negotiations at the time.

So long story short, just because you may be exempt from DB, doesn't mean prevailing wages won't apply.

OK, let's assume they apply. Where do I find them? That Appendix K had no mention of the word "surveyor".

Chances are if the subject of Davis Bacon even comes up, then surveyors are going to be subject to the prevailing wage established under the Service Contract Act of 1965 (basically Davis Bacon for technicians in professional fields).

What do use for COE-NO proposals?
Those wages should be under the same umbrella.

Mr. Flemming is correct about SCA wage rates. And don't forget to add in the associated benefit item cost, usually listed on the bottom of the wage determination listing.

Because the Feds have not established a Davis Bacon rate, even though they have said we are laborers and must be paid the Davis Bacon rate, you would probably be safe in using your state's wages for surveyors for public works jobs. We have found in New York, that under other categories of Davis Bacon, the wagers seem to mirror the State's prevailing wage rates.
