If you are interested in doing any advertising at Google Adwords, I'll hook you up with a voucher worth $100 when you spend $25. Reply here or send an email to [email protected] and I'll send you the voucher code. Sadly, this is for new Google Adwords clients only.

Please only those who are serious about it, as I have a limited number of codes to hand out. If you take one and don't use it, then it is wasted.

Thanks!

Not that I'm unhappy with the service, but have you figured out their billing system Wendell?
Some hits I get billed $1 some $8 and anywhere in between. I called and complained but got garbage about others bidding etc.
No way is one hit worth $8 I our line of work.

You can set your max bid to whatever you want, and cap your daily expense, but the lower your bid, the further down the list you'll be.

Yes, what Pseudo said. You can control that. The lower your bids, the less exposure you'll get. Less $ = less exposure.

Sadly, it is only good for new Adwords accounts. 🙁

I'm on Ad Words "Express" can't do that with express, but can set monthly limits.
Like I said b4 tho I've still got about $30 of the $100 free after about 4 mos. so it seems like a good deal. Will continue and set a budget max.

Also for you guys check out Goolge analytics. You can see where from, when, how,(google etc) and how many pages hit, visitors hit your site. Bunch of other stuff too.

One of the problems you may be having with your bids needing to be high to be ranked higher is the Quality Score of the landing page. If that column isn't turned on in your Keywords tab, then click on Columns and turn it on. Generally a high quality score (closer to 10) indicates that Google thinks your landing page is about the keyword you're advertising for. For a low quality score, it will take you more money to get Google to show you higher.

So, first, improve your landing page. Lots of people just drive their clicks to the front page for all of the keywords. Not a good idea - and an expensive idea. You should have a separate page for specific terms. Like "land surveyor" should land on a page about land surveying of land surveyor or land surveyors, etc. "ALTA survey" should land on a page about ALTA surveying, and so on.

In order to do this in Adwords, separate your keywords into different Ad Groups and write the ad for the specific keyword and the landing page for the same.

If you need help with this, contact me offline and I'll be glad to help.

Keith
