Got a call from a gal yesterday who purchased a 10 ac. "airstrip" parcel I surveyed in '07 for that conveyance, survey fee paid by seller. Nasty piece of ground - dense hemlocks, STEEP terrain, three gullies.

Well, it seems they're now selling and, "gosh darn it, we can't find an original stamped copy of the map. Our buyers will accept an affidavit of no change, but their lawyer wants a stamped copy of the map. Would you mind sending us one?"

No, I wouldn't mind at all. Send me a check for $1000. When it clears, I'll send the map - dated 2007, of course.

Some people......

I am in the middle of a similar survey.

Seller signed an affidavit of no change since survey in 1999. Buyer knows better and wants to know where monuments are and if anything is amiss.

Things amiss.....
The neighbor has installed his underground electric hookup across the land,
Existing access easement,
New telephone upgrades all around (optical cable and box, service boxes below surface and above surface on property),
A few pincushions, two sets of monuments for both north end corners,
New concrete,
Storage sheds gone,
Title commitment keeps referring to plat that they or no one else appears to have a copy of.....
Still looking for a water meter, may have been buried during all the utility changes

Affidavit caused the buyer have to pay for the survey.

BTW, doesn't signing an affidavit of no change when there are changes break some law.....:-S
