@stlsurveyor No need to go back 9 years. Any survey grade Lidar manufacturer's spec sheet would tell you that they have multiple returns.

They do. The 2nd or last signal bounce would be for the bare earth. If it's not pitch black in the bushes then lidar can penetrate it.
