Ty Hawkins LS 7973 is a second generation Licensed Land Surveyor in the State of California. Ty grew up in the surveying profession and has seen first hand the tremendous technological advances in equipment and techniques used in the field. Since graduating from Humboldt State University with a BS in Wildlife Management in 1988, Ty has over 20 years of full time surveying experience. Ty has worked in both the public and private sector with a stint at Cal-Trans from 1992 to 1995. Ty has worked as a project surveyor for many years and has worked on a wide range of projects from large construction layout jobs to ALTA surveys; GPS control networks, large and small boundary surveys and FEMA certifications. Sample projects include layout and asbuilt of the 680/ 24 interchange in Walnut Creek, construction layout for the Genentech campus in Vacaville and Asbuilt Survey work for the NIF project at the Lawrence Livermore National Lab. In August of 2004 Ty became a California Licensed Land Surveyor, and in early 2007 formed Hawkins Land Surveying.
