@olemanriver Tell them it will be just like a new SPC but the combined scale factor is so close to 1 that you can ignore it.

One could hope his crew was just bad at measuring but the monuments are there.

3. Is there ever confusion about what the surveying instrument is reporting? For example, are measured distances grid or ground, or are GPS coordinate...

#3 is easily workable if and only if one assumes that unicorn, a perfectly aligned and dimensioned section.
