I'd have to guess that they are targeting newly licensed surveyors below a certain age.

"Chief Party Surveyor" ? What is that?
It doesn't mention being a PLS that I saw.
I wonder if they mean "Survey Party Chief".
If so $20/hr might not be out of line for the area.
I don't know.

Requirement #1:

"• Must currently be a Registered Surveyor in order to stamp & seal surveys. "

Things must be tight in Ohio.

ditto.....plus it said " Must have experience running survey parties (small or large)"

I would think that it is the same as what I would call "Chief of parties". I wonder (hope) they put the pay range down wrong, like the pay range for a different position.

If I were out of work and trying to make rent, I would work for that pay, but probably not as a stamping PLS.

Might be a bit presumptuous to figure you're coming in on the top end of the scale 😛 :
Compensation: $14 to $20 per hour

Makes you wonder what the rodmen make?

They have had to have made a mistake. I work for an OH company and that is mid to high end crew chief wage (non-licensee). An LSIT would normally make more than that around here.

You are down next to KainTuck. This is up in the NE Corner. Different circumstances. But this bunch may just be cheap (pay scale wise).

That same posting seems to have been around for more than a year, off and on. Evidently the fishing is not too good with the bait offered.

We pay more than that in Mississippi for heaven's sake !! AND they want the applicant to do CAD work too? That's absurd!! I just do the CAD part and get a better pay check than that!! Someone has lost his/her mind!!

There Is No Job, They Are Head Hunters...

...offering to pedal you off for a song. Sign with them and refuse to take a $14/hour job and you could still owe them a fee.

"Integrity Technical Services, Inc. does not charge a fee for finding anyone a job."

No they charge the hiring company a fee. Somewhere in the fine print you will read about the not taking a job part.

Run, Forest, run!

Chief of parties is typically in charge of all field crews. Most often an office position with the duties of preparing each field crews daily assignments. I've worked with several, and only one was non licensed. He had his license with in a year of promotion to that position.

I'm an RLS and was offered a Management position for $17 in a progressive city. Almost wish I took it. Work's been slow. There are low ballers out there. Shame Shame.
