L.A. Stevens & Associates, in Novato, California has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Field / Office Surveyor with a wide array of experience. The position requires a LSIT certification or LS license. The most desirous candidate will have knowledge of proper field/office procedures that will stand up to scrutiny by other professionals and the courts when determining a boundary and recognizing appropriate evidence.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-years’ experience in surveying under a licensed surveyor.
- Minimum 1-year field experience required.
- Experience in Land Surveying software
- Ability to prepare exhibits, plats, ALTA surveys, subdivision maps, and topographic surveys.
- Ability to identify, collect and analyze boundary evidence
- Prepare, analyze and interpret legal descriptions
- Prepare reports, letters and correspondence and interact with clients
- Ability to work on uneven terrain, lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and construction documents.
- Ability to prepare calculations, alignments, and instructions for field work.
General qualities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or with a project team.
- Experience with some of the following: Land Development Desktop, MicroSurvey, Civil 3d, GPS Software, Least Squares Software, and Robotic Instruments.
