Aerotek is currently seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to support a large local utility. Ideal candidates will hold their PLS license and have 3+ years in professional land surveying. This person will be working with the Mapping Supervisor within the Surveying and Mapping Department. The Surveying and Mapping Department is responsible for providing land survey and mapping support in the maintenance, operation and development of new facilities. Candidates must be familiar with local laws and regulations specific to Washington State and Oregon.

I just advise great caution when dealing with these middlemen. Aerotek is an employment agency/broker and they lie when they suggest they are hiring anyone. They tend to make it impossible to communicate with the principles resulting in wasted time/money on both ends.

To clarify, in this situation we are not acting as the middleman. We are the employer hiring for the utility. This is the only way to apply for this role. Candidates also have the ability to talk directly to the utility, as there is a formal interview process.

How is that not a middleman?

I could see that they would not "middlemen" if the employee is hired by them and their salary, etc is paid by them. It's getting to be a pretty common practice these days... often times a temp-to-hire situation.

> We are the employer hiring for the utility.

The implication there, is that you will interview with aerotech and they will hire the new employee. That sounds awfully odd if that is the case. Even if I utilized a headhunter, I would think I would want to interview the candidates myself.
