I'm entering this into the next photo contest...
It's called:
" I should have brought the turkey baster...."
?ÿ
?ÿ
Cordless shop vacs work great; don't know why I didn't get one sooner...
?ÿ
?ÿ
Also good for keeping the floor boards in the chariot clean!
A sponge works well for this and never needs its battery charged
?ÿThis shot would be far better if I had taken the time on a very cold and windy day to walk closer.?ÿ This is an old, unused, upright corn silage silo with a herd of cattle standing around the base and a tree growing out of the top.
That's what I used before; doesn't do as good job on the floor boards...

Neither does that puny little battery powered Dewalt thing. I need the Binford 5000 to vacuum out my work truck.
Doesn't that Binford Model suck the whole floor into it too. (or is that only after Tim thinks it needs more power?)
At least the waters not all muddy, so you can see the cap and possibly read it. If that were in AK it would be solid ice and the cap would have been popped off.
Binford 500
We had one of those; then my dad got a job
I had a roll of paper towels.
Problem is the putrid water that sits in these things. I'm no mamby pamby but being adjacent to a dog poo and pee relief area, my sensitive nose knew not to touch this water. I was lucky I had an aluminum can I cut the top off of mostly to use as an erstwhile scooper.?ÿ Hence the inability to get more out.
Turkey baster is in the kit and ready for next time.
I had one of those last week in South Dakota. Was able to stake out .007x.007 with a cut of .134
Solid block of ice.
No joy there.
?ÿ
No torch either.?ÿ Another addition to my truck soon.
?ÿ
Zoom in.?ÿ It's a section corner?ÿ for 11/12

Replaced after construction of the condos next to it with all the dogs came into play.
Old power poles across the street still have the called MagNails from the earlier Mon recs.
Fun times.
Well, now, listen up, young feller.?ÿ First thing you do is stop in at Dairy Queen and order a pineapple malt.?ÿ You will receive an oversized plastic straw so you can suck the pineapple chunks along with the melted ice cream.?ÿ Save that straw.?ÿ Next time you encounter such a pristine water sample, simply insert the straw into the water then place a finger over the top of the straw.?ÿ Remove straw and move it to one side while removing your finger from the top,?ÿ Water will shoot out.?ÿ Repeat until the water level drops below the top of the cap.?ÿ You are getting paid by the hour and the company is probably getting paid by a factor of 2.67 times your hourly wage, so this is a win-win.?ÿ Should you feel the urge to speed up the process, you can suck up a mouthful at a time, however this method is not recommended.
The company would be well advised to buy the crew a turkey baster.
HOLY COW!!
Another vote for Turkey baster!
(Or borrow the midnight gas pump, from behind the spare tire!)

Better than a turkey baster, or a DeWalt:
