Located in Palmer, Alaska in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley. Taking resumes for the position of Instrument Person/Party Chief. Seeking a career oriented survey technician, preference given to individuals who have passed the LSIT, or at a minimum have a two year degree in geomatics and the desire to eventually become licensed. Work involves researching various easements, plats, waivers and deeds, ROW documents and previous surveys. Field work involves both GPS and conventional surveys for design, staking for clearing, construction and post construction as-builting. Will need to be prepared to work outside in conditions ranging down to -25 F in the winter. Some drafting experience is prefered. Will train the right individual. Position is with the IBEW union with excellent pay and benefits. May be laid off for 2-3 months during he winter months, dependent upon work load. This position is open to any qualified individual.
