Colleagues-

Any assistance will be appreciated on this please.

We are having problems with our Rover.

It does not receive the Base data via the radio.

We have tried both the base at the office and the field base setup.

The Base shows everything is good, so it seems to be at the receiving end.

We just updated the Fast Survey software to version 2.6.0.

Any ideas?

Also, since we updated the software the bluetooth has quit working several times.

To fix it we go to start>programs>utilities>restore system, and then it works for a while.

But it has happened a few times within a week.

Is there something else to reset?

Thank you

A shot in the dark. Is the data collector set to the right com port? I had a problem yesterday and I saw the com port was set on com6. I changed it to com5 and it ran fine. It likely is not your solution, but every hint sends you a bit closer to resolution.

I would suggest taking the PDL Comm. Module off the rover and cleaning the contacts with an eraser or some other tool. The contacts can get dirty and prohibit successful reception. Also check your vortex antenna connections to make certain they are being seeded properly and appear to be in good condition.

You mentioned that you recently upgraded FAST Survey, have you had a successful configuration since the upgrade? If not, perhaps a setting was changed.
