I put my hand on a 4" pine the other day. What a dummy I am, those things are sap factories. I got sap on my camera; luckily nowhere critical. Now it looks like a real field camera.

That's what I do first thing, when I will be chopping line all day.
With that pine sap on my hand, the machete will not slip, and therefor NO BLISTERS at the end of the day.
