you have when you're getting ready to go look for something, and you know if you find it there, it's REALLY going to complicate things?

Yep,
It is real similiar to really needing to find that certain piece of evidence that will "nail" something down, but yet you just get the powerful "feeling" that it cannot or will not be found.
