You just got to love an 1880 GLO survey

I'm taking the dotted lines on the plat to be the protracted lines and the solid lines to be the lines actually run on the ground, as opposed to the brown lines (protracted) and the black lines run on the ground seen in the original GLO plats from my state.

Is that correct?

I've run across this several times - was mighty confusing until it dawned on me what was going on...
