Folks,
As some of you know I was lucky enough to win the auction for the "Rebuilding the WTC" T-shirt that originally came from Scott Zelenak and crew working on the WTC site. The proceeds from that auction went entirely to the Wounded Warrior project and I thought it was a great chance to pay it forward. So I sent the t-shirt off to Scott and gang asking them to sign it and return to me so I could re-auction it off and again all proceeds to go directly to the Wounded Warrior project. The winner will go to the wounded warriors site and donate there and send me an email or post their receipt to the forum and I will send them this amazing shirt. Thank you Scott and crew for helping me with this.
Scott also sent a 2nd identical (signed) T-shirt and I am also auctioning that off with the proceeds going directly to this site to help Wendell keep this site going. Both auctions will end on January 11th at 8:46 am eastern time to acknowledge the time the first plane struck on Sept 11th.
Please put the WW or Beerleg in your post to let me know which auction you are bidding on.
so there you have it two simultaneous auctions for two great causes, please help these great folks and I get the honor of sending out the awesome prizes...thanks everyone and good luck!

thanks guys...I understand times are tough and its right after Christmas. I also realize I ruffle a few feathers on here from time to time, but don't let your dislike for my internet musings dissuade you from helping these great causes. You won't send me a dime, so there really isnt any worries. You can contact me if you want more pics or info. The shirts are really great, the signatures are done in permanent white fabric ink so they should be long lasting. (not that i would wear them, they are a great piece of surveying history if you ask me) I will even sweeten the pot. Any donation to beerleg, I will match dollar for dollar.

Angel do you think it would be appropriate to change the category to surveying to reach more people?

I agree, this is a land surveying topic not a site issue

****Auction Ending Soon Please Read****

Auction ends in the the morning, looks like as of now I am gonna get two shirts signed by the men who surveyed the new world trade center, a true piece of surveying history produced on 10th anniversary of 911.

Also, looks like I will have the honor of supporting the men and women of Wounded Warriors.....and to support this amazing land surveyors resource at beer leg!!!

Of course I will be happy to be the winning bidder of both auctions but would be more fun if more folks came out to join me in suport of these two worthwhile causes.

I mean for goodness sake the original shirt went for 2.5 times the highest bid WITHOUT the signatures of Scott Z and crew, come on folks this don't send a good message, show some pride for the boys working on one of the most complex historically significant survey sites in the country, they took the time to make these shirts, sign the shirts, and send them out lets show a little more suport and respect.

A great way to help your good karma and pay it forward too!!

Happy bidding!!!!

Let me know when you have sent in your donations and I will get your shirts out quickly, you can send me your contact info to cliff@nclandsurveys.com. Thanks for helping these great causes. Wendell/Angel, if you would be so kind as let me know how I can make the matching contribution to beerleg, I will do that as well. Sorry the auctions didn't do better.

Hey Rambleon

Thank you for the really great selfless thought of creating this auction and taking the time from your life to ask Scott Zelenak and Crew sign them, this makes them a true piece of surveying history.

You are a true gentleman sir, you won the shirt in a charity auction, made it much more valuable and meaningful with the signatures, then turned around and auctioned it off for Wounded Warriors.

Charity Auction Tally

Since Scott Z and company produced the original shirts on 10th anniversary of 911, two of these shirts have inspired $1,050 worth of giving to the following causes.

1. 911 Memorial Fund

2. Wounded Warriors

3. Surveyor Connect

Congrats to all who paid it forward, this is a contribution to humanity, to those who can help helping others, the thoughts definately count and so do the donations.

Kudos!!

Thanks to everyone for the support of particularly the first two causes in that list, as they deserve it much more than we do!
