I'm about ready to leave for Corbin and the NGS Astro-Azimuth workshop. I expect to find out over the next 4 days that there's a whole lot I don't know and probably will even feel a little stupid on occasions. Hopefully I will learn a lot and finally understand some of those astro concepts that I tend to over think and get confused about.
I've got my theodolites (T-3, T-2 & Lietz TM-10C) all adjusted and collimated so I think I'm ready. All we need now are clear skies.
I know that at least one other BeerLegger will be there. Have to see if there are others. Y'all have a good week.
Sounds fun! Good luck. I bet it will be interesting.
I don't have a friggin clue as to what you are talking about, but good luck with your endeavor anyway, whatever it is!
Have a great week! B-)
Have a ball! Great place and great folks at Corbin..
I've been studying that for awhile and still don't have a handle on it. I would really like to have the time to practice or go to a seminar. Is that something that is offered in different parts of the country or do you have to go to Corbin? In any event have a great time...Best of Luck!
Thanks Moe, found it
not even halfway through day three (of four) and my brain hemorrage is acting up again
To much...I know I've tried studying it in parts...there seems to be a lot to it...still it must be cool, how are the actual sightings going?

learned some new techniques, met some heavy hitters; dave lehman, ron gallagher, kendall fancher, bill gallagher, sid safford, and bill fell, to name a few. sid has an unbelievable touch on the stopwatch, hundredth of a second accuracy and trig tables in his head.
also met dave ingram, john hamilton, and mike helsel. great couple of days, thanks ngs
