I've been working with my T-3 getting it ready to take to an NGS workshop. For those of you that really know the T-3, a couple of questions:
1.) How many thousand readings does it take to get to the point where it is intuitive and you aren't constantly second guessing yourself? I have figured out how to read it and I know how the vertical works, but it ain't simple.
2.) I have been adjusting the collimation and level vial and think I've got it pretty darn close. Horizontal & vertical collimation is probably down to a couple of seconds each. Realistically does it get any better than this?
Comments, opinions & advice welcome.
BTW - for those of you that think T-2 optics are good, you ought to see this baby. After looking through it for a while the T-2 & my Lietz TM10C seem pretty lame. I'll probably feel the same way about my T-4 once I start spending time with that and compare it to the T-3.
2nd BTW - this stuff is fun!
It is my understanding that the crosshairs are 1-2 arc seconds wide, so you probably will be waisting your time diddling any further.
