Hi,
Here is my znl from the early seventies. It sights up and down in the one set up by turning the knob which rotates the internal mirror.
It has been used on smokestacks and buildings with good results.

I took this to CHINA as a backup and the results compared favourably with the other late model orange cylindrical Leica that was also on site. If you repeat sets of quadrant readings then mean them by intersecting the opposing points its fine.

You can do 10 to 12 floors at once and close off, good lighting is a requirement, and a steady flexible hand at the target end. As I said, I had two of these and sold one before Xmas to a Hong Kkong company for $1750 or thereabouts, I had it calibrated and so it was ready for use, the service guy said it was a joy to work on, and mine are in as new condition internally.

Also yesterday i got the SAMSUNG 4 g 12.2. tablet, I bought the 10.1 last year and found myself using it everyday, the extra screen size is great, not cheap, $1250 in OZ, but the s pen function and shape match is the best, having returned an ipad due to its restrictive system.
Cheers
David

That's a nice one, I'm in negotiations with a couple of others currently.
