I have a Ranger 3 with Wifi. I've got itconnected to my office WiFi hotspot. Is it possible to "share" my upload/download folders on the Ranger so I can remotely pull off information? I know that's easy to do with Windows/laptops, but I can't figure out how to do it with Windows Mobile. Is it even possible?

In 5.2 Survey Pro they have added support for sharing data via email or Dropbox. That works pretty slick.

You could probably dropbox them also.

Speaking of wifi, our new machine control for the tamper came with a TSC3. We are contemplating the best way to get the data into the office for processing and returning to the tamper. There is no access point in the field so a mifi would be an option. I see that the TSC3 has SIM card capabilities that would be an option also. Has anyone used either way and have any advice pro or con?

Thanks, I thought there might be a way for the office computers to access the storage on the Rangers via WiFi, like I can with my laptops. I'm having problems with my Ranger after an upgrade where I get an error message after plugging in the USB cable, then needs to reboot the Ranger to get Mobile Device Manager (formerly Activesync) to work.

Any word if Trimble/Spectra is going to modify the software to allow for adjusting occupied points? Meaning collect data, adjust raw data in the office, export points, updload to collector, and then import and overwrite the original unadjusted points?

The last reply I received from Spectra Precision said they are not changing it, get used to it.

My last reply: Good luck selling it.
