Hard to tell what it came off of, but it's an Acme thread (possibly square thread) drive screw for a pretty hefty piece of equipment.?ÿ That thread design can take a heavy load.

@kevin-hines yeah I think you're correct. My granddad had a few similar to these, and he said they were from a rod jack lift system in a lumber mill he worked at in the 1920's.?ÿ
Very similar to an antique screw jack I have. My dad used it to hold up the tongue of his trailer.
