We depend on them for scheduling and planning, and short term they are "OK". But sometimes.........................
I have some people close to me headed to FL this weekend and I got worried about Erika since they are going right to where the "models" say it's going to be.
So what the heck, I see on one site I have great respect for that it's fizzled, then I go on google and can't find much of anything, only one site is saying it's over with, so is it done or not?
The news comes on my radio and they are still saying how bad it may be............very confused now:-S
The http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_at5+shtml/084617.shtml?5-daynl&apos ;">National Hurricane Center is now showing it as a tropical storm, avg winds of 50 mph. Still could be pretty stormy down there. The 'center' is predicted to reach mainland Florida early Sunday.
There will be enough traffic headed out of town and should it develop into a problem, they will be huddled up somewhere hiding from the storm.
The place will be there after the storm, plan for a more pleasant destination.....
From the latest models I've seen (1PM EST) the tropical storm may overshoot the Florida peninsula and hit the warm Gulf water. Who knows where it could go after that?
A good bet will be that rain and wind is in the forecast for So. Fla. Everything else is conjecture at this point.
Still seeing very different forecasts, this is going to be interesting, some are saying it's going to lash FL, others are saying it's fizzled and not expected to reform.
