2 miles of 4 wheeling to get here from the front of this ranch.

Actually found a 3 inch pipe (in the background) that was called for in the deed 50 years ago, how it made it thru the floods that have happened on this river is crazy.

Its days like this that makes it all good.

I am sure you are aware of the devastating 1999 and 2002 floods of the Guadalupe River.
You mentioned the pipe you found. I surveyed a small tract along the river in 2000 that use to have a house on it- the house was carried down the river but the iron rods/pins were found- flush. - amazing huh!

Looks pretty sandy there, are fire ants a problem?

What does your mounting setup look like for transporting the rod/hiper? I have a homemade setup but I need some ideas for something better. BTW your data collector is on the wrong (left) side of the rod. 😉

Cool setup. If you have some more pictures, I would like to see how you load up your rig and transport the RTK and a robot. I've been looking to add an atv this year and need some ideas.

Looks like a great job.

Nice looking setup. What type of software you running in your DC?

Love large ranch jobs. I have done some here in AZ.

Blake:

I just have a 1 foot pipe welded on the outside of the foot peg that the rod slips into. It can hold the rod upright and secure, I also have a cradle on the crossbar of the handlebars, so I can see the screen while driving, I am sure that there are better ways, but this works for me.

jwc2010:

The large basket in the back carries the instrument suitcases, the soft case attached behind the seat can store a bunch and the rest (tripod, poles, etc, gets carried on the front rack. That basket is a good thing to have.

Azls:

I use Topsurv.

Pretty simple setup, but it sure works for me.:-)

That's the same setup as mine. I zoomed in and seen you had a FC2500. I like mine, its a little heavier than the 100 but I like the full keyboard.

Does yours have a low humming sound constantly? I have 2 2500 and both of them do. Really only hear it when I have to put it on my shoulder next to the ear to walk.
