So we got this new Verizon MIFI Jetpack 291L and i can connect to it with my TSC3 but my TSC2 won't connect. They both see each other and the password is correct, just no connection. Anyone else have this problem?

You may need to connect the Mifi to a computer and manually dumb down the security settings. I can't recall exactly, something like WPA, not WPA2...
We had a Verizon 4510 and had to do this.

I've also heard through the GNSS Tech Support grape vine, the new LGS GS14 cannot utilize the VZW MiFI Device either, the LGS GS14 utilizes the new fangled Bluetooth PAN Protocol, forces users to use LGS only GSM cellular modems, Lookout guys, 🙁

:good: Yep, that's what I had to do for my TSC2 and MiFi Jetpack 4620LE to hook up.

Same here. Call Verizon and they will walk you through the process.

This is completely untrue. When using the GS14 with a LGS CS15 Data Collector running Carlson, MicroSurvey or Viva the mifi hotspot works fine. The GS14 does have an onboard GSM Sim Slot, as does the CS15 but a hotspot can still be utilized. The only thing really affected by the PAN was the type of data collector you could use.

As for the Mifi/TSC2, there are directions in the Mifi box that show you how to hook up the hotspot and change the Security settings. Changing to "Open" or old-school WPA will solve your problem.

Please let me know if you need additional help.

CW, I am getting a GS14, and my Leica dealer told me last week when he demoed the GS14 and a CS15, that I would have to get an AT&T sim card for the GS14 slot. He told me they had not been able to make it work with a hotspot. I was sure dissapointed because in my neck of the woods AT&T reception is terrible. I was hoping to use my Verizon hotspot.
Please confirm if possible.
Thanks, ibenhavin
