We are about to perform a design build project for the COE on a Levee on the Missouri River. I was wondering if anyone has done this type of project before and if so could help with a few items I am researching. First, what guidelines are followed as far as control and daily survey operations onsite? They have many standards and I was wondering if these are summed up any place. I found a few items on their website about how to specifically set control and log it in their online system. Is anyone familiar with this operation that might have some guidelines on how to do this correctly? Kind of looks like bluebooking. Secondly, we are putting a work plan together and they are asking for our SOP for surveying on the project and an Activity Hazard Analysis (H&S protocols). I put something like this together years ago on a COE boundary survey between two states but it doesn't seem to apply to a Levee survey. Any ideas on how one of you may have worded this on a prior COE project you have worked on? Thanks for any help or insight you can provide.

I have a 35 page pdf of the minimum survey standards for the Orleans district, if you have an email.

Here attached is the N.O. District manual that Roadie mentioned.
It has links within to create EM files etc.
When I did COE work, I created a few simple ones and edited some too. But I also had 2 former COE surveyors on staff who could zip them out faster than me so it was a waste of time for me. It is helpful to keep a seed file to convert to your present project to cut corners.
Always request scope of work meetings to be on top of it all.
It's good that you have established a COE contact.
When I work projects in the New Orleans District, I had good support from Paul Gautreau, Mark Huber and their staff.
Same in the Vicksburg and Mobile Districts.
