I am attempting to use my AT&T Phone to get VRS correction data to my TDS Ranger and am having trouble getting the two to talk. I have consulted with the Trimble Tech support and they are thinking that maybe the AT&T access codes that they have are outdated. Can anyone give me there access info. For an access # I am using *99***1#, for a user name, I am using [email protected], the password is CINGULAR1 and the extra dial string modem commands are cgdcont=1"IP","isp.cingular"

Any help would be appreciated.

Contact AT&T. I haven't used an AT&T phone to connect but I have used my AT&T MiFi to connect Trimble equipment to VRS with no issues.

These work for me:

*99#
Username: [email protected]
Password: CINGULAR1

I have also seen some cases where you enter the APN Server as: wap.cingular and then leave the username and password blank.

We're using Survey Pro v. 4.9.2 on a Nomad and have no trouble connecting on a Verizon MiFi WiFi, as long as there's a good healthy data signal, 3G or better. I asked our Trimble rep about using AT&T he said don't do it, nothing but trouble. Where are you located?

I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUES, HAVE A TDS RANGER 500 WITH BLUETOOTH, USED A PLUG IN ENFORA CARD (WORKS AS A MODEM) WITH AT&T SIM CARD INSTALLED FOR YEARS. NOW WE CANCELLED THE PLAN IN JANUARY IN HOPES TO SET UP A PHONE INSTEAD. CANT GET THE CONNECTION, CHECKING IF ANYONE HAS USED THIS TYPE OF SETUP RECENTLY. I MAY GO BACK TO THE ENFORA CARD. WE HAVE BEEN USING *99***1#, [email protected] AND CINGULAR1 AS THE PASSWORD, WITH NO LUCK.:-(
