Client is requesting a laser scan inside manholes. I am envisioning a tripod with some sort of extending rod down into the hole, operate everything via wireless. Operator would work entirely above the ground and simple lower scanner down from above and perform one scan and imagery capture.?ÿ

Anyone done something similar it know of an existing solution?

I am sure I have seen that exact thing it is a reverse elevatior tripod has a crank down system. I think Seco makes one also but I canƒ??t find that.

You know I would be very worried about a expensive piece of equipment hanging upside down from a tribrach that was not designed to hold a piece of equipment in such a manner.

I expect that one of the smaller scanners that uses a 5/8x11 attachment is what the OP has in mind.

We do this very thing here and the tripod example given above is the exact tool we use. We have developed a workflow using the BLK360 scanner.

Does this yield reliable/economical invert elevations for you??ÿ
