We're going to scan at an airport and will traverse into the concourse area and scan near the TSA security check area.

Will a Trimble SX-10 scanner negatively affect?ÿ mounted airport security cameras?

Anybody have any experience?

SX10 should not affect TSA cameras.?ÿ We don't use the SX10 to scan our terminals (we have a TX8) but have had no issues using either equipment around TSA equipment, cameras or personnel.

I suppose a high-powered laser could mess with the sensors on digital cameras, but the laser class of most scanners, SX10 included, is nowhere near that level, and wouldn't be focused on it for a long enough period of time anyway.

?ÿ

However, I would be curious what a digital video camera output displays during the instant that a non-visible scanning laser passes over the lens...
