One of my duties in my new position is to update the software and firmware in the field equipment. We have 15 controllers, 10 rovers and 9 robots. I started yesterday afternoon and was able to update all of the rovers. 3 of the TSC2's software support were outdated and 2 others would not load at all.

My question is, will these 5 controllers with the previous version software work with the rovers that have the newer firmware until I get everything squared away?

There will be a warning line in the update messages that will tell you if you have to update the TSC2 software.

Maybe.....depends on how old the Survey Controller software is and how new the GNSS reciever software is...

As Adam said...it will give you a warning message when you attempt to connect.

Roadhand,
one more thing to consider is that the job files will no longer be exchangeable amongst the dc's when they run different versions.
and another 'one more thing' when you do have job files that you'll still need in the field, make sure they're on the TSC2 so they can be updated/upgraded during that process.

chr.
