Hey folks. Hope someone can shed some light on an issue I am having with our R8. We sent it off to the dealer and had it serviced and the firmware updated. The Rover worked fine and we have been using it on our network with no problems. We hadn't used the base until today and the crew couldn't get it to even come on. Used the cowbell and all the battery's were charged. They tried everything (holding power down etc). I managed to get it to come on but it stays in monitor mode. Solid lights with the radio light with a slow blink. I called the service tech and he wasnt able to answer why the power wouldn't come on initially. I brought the unit home and reloaded the firmware but could not get it out of monitor mode. So, you cant use the configuration toolbox etc. I will send it back to the dealer tomorrow but I would prefer someone to tell me the magic words to make it work again. Any ideas? I have never had this problem with a receiver.
Trimble R8 Model 3 all the bells and whistles as of late 2011.
Firmware Version 4.44 (our warranty was till late 2011 so this is the latest version I can install).
