I have been using one for almost a year now , very impressed , coming from using and R10 and and R6 .?ÿ

Under canopy And next to buildings really good results , when using it in RTK mode with my R10 as base . Our local RTN network only tracks glonass and GPS , so when on a VRS network , itƒ??s not as brilliant, but otherwise very happy with it .?ÿ

often times I think I will need a total station to get the shot , I take a chance and try the R12 and get it .?ÿ

We got a set of R10-2 which were upgradeable to R12 with a software install. Iƒ??m pretty hard to impress a was pleasantly surprised how well the R12 upgrade worked. ?ÿPretty high quality units in my opinion. ?ÿ

@pdop-10

?ÿ

Was it a Trimble VRS network, I would presume the Trimble networks would support all the constellations that their receivers use.

@totalsurv

It depends on whether the base stations in the network are tracking those constellations.

@totalsurv the vrs network here have receivers that only track glonass and gps, so you lose 10-15 svƒ??s.

@totalsurv

there are a lot of "Trimble" networks that are owned by state DOTs that are pretty old.?ÿ The ones (sort of) owned by Trimble are usually more up to date.?ÿ IMO Leica went the better route with full corporate ownership of their RTN, but I prefer the R12 over the GS18T for my type of work.?ÿ If I worked more urban I'd probably want the Leica system.
