I also still support the older GDM/5600 series instruments

hi im from Qatar. i have a Trimble 5503 instrument. after a month of not using, it stop working, the ACU is not connecting to the instrument. some people say maybe the internal battery died and need to replace, the firmware was also erase and need to re-flash. i went to Qatar Trimble service center but they don't know how to repair it. do you still have the firmware? and what cable do i need to re flash it. thank you. hope you can help me

Hi richs 1077.

I have a 5603 that needs an internal battery replacement. This seems to be something that needs to be done every 2 years. Is there a way of replacing it myself?
