Until December I was using Trimble Survey Controller on TSC2's. The OS is windows mobile.

Then I bought a R10 and a V10, so I also purchased a Yuma 2 tablet computer, which is running access and the OS is windows 7.

I had a lot of problems last week with the Yuma 2, not sure what the problem is (sometimes froze up, and survey screen would not work but main windows screen was OK). Of course I was 1000 miles away from the office.

My question is ...is it possible to install Trimble access on a windows 7 laptop to use as a backup? I wasted a few hours messing with the tablet, rebooting it until it worked. Happened a few times.

My dealer rep got back to me...yes you can put it on a laptop. $3,450

He also told me about an update program on the Yuma that will check for updates, and supposedly fix any problems. I ran it yesterday, maybe that will fix everything. It could have been the version I was using.
