I recently received a Trimble 5600 robot but I do not know much about it.

I specifically need to know how to remove the faceplate so I can put the CU on it.

Anybody know?

?ÿ

Thanks

It is spring loaded on the bottom with catches on the top of faceplate, so push down on top while pulling out. ?ÿGood luck, that is the easy part. ?ÿJp

@jp7191

That's the first thing that freaked me out when we got ours. The picture in the manual appears to show it flipping out at the base i.e. hinging from the top, but it is in fact the other way around, and as you say - grip both sides and use fingers or thumbs to push down the top then simultaneously rotate it about the base so that the top moves outward.

I see there's some new videos around on handling 5600's and Geodimeter 600's, which is good to see that folk are still keeping them going.

One looks like Android controller.
